Scientist Opportunities
The “scientist” title position is usually filled by an individual possessing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in the appropriate science.
A Bachelor’s in the appropriate scientific field is an ideal degree with which to begin the “scientist” career path at Prevalere. Such an individual will be systematically trained in the specific technical skills and techniques desired for the position in addition to being trained in GLP/cGMP. Prevalere has been very successful in “training up” the individual in order for him/her to assume an increasingly more complex and independent role in the lab.
The typical entry-level credential for the groups that analyze traditional pharmaceuticals is a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
The typical entry-level credential for the groups that analyze biologics is a Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or chemistry, with coursework in immunology a preference.
Quality Assurance staff perform audits/inspections of lab process, lab systems, analytical data, and reports. A QA position is typically filled by an individual with a Bachelor’s degree in science and pharmaceutical lab experience and regulatory knowledge.
The company attempts to recognize a new employee entering the company with an advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) or with prior pharmaceutical analytical training (e.g., GLP/cGMP) with the appropriate position title and compensation, provided that a position at the level has been approved. Individuals at these degree levels are expected to move more rapidly toward independence and more complex task performance.
